This morning the skies were clear and bright with a light wind and the day quickly became very warm. We caught 23 birds, 8 of which were re-traps. However is was good to have juvenile Blackbird, Robin, Dunnock and Long tailed tit.

There have been a number of flocks of Long tailed tits hanging about in our ringing area for CES 1 to 4 this year. In total 38 birds a mixture of adults and juveniles have been caught. Of the 38 birds 23 were new and 15 were re-traps. The juvenile of the species is on the left in the picture.
