GOS is a charity. Donations are welcome and it is only £12 to join (for which you get the annual bird report, email updates concerning events and an invitation to attend all of our walks / field trips free of charge). Walks are £5 for non-members. We welcome members and non-members alike to the free online talks. For in-person talks there is a nominal fee of £1 on the door to help cover room hire.
We encourage all to join the society and contribute to the bird recording and conservation initiatives GOS promotes.
Welsh Ornithological Society Conference 2025

The Welsh Ornithological Society (WOS) Conference, which will be held at Aberystwyth University on Saturday 25 October.The conference theme will be ‘Making your Birding Count’, and it will focus on the importance of recording and its value in supporting bird conservation..
The conference will open with coffee at 0930, and finish by 1700.
The cost for WOS members is expected to be around £30 and non-members £40.
There will be a good contingent going from Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, so please get in touch if you would like to lift share.
