SUMMARY:GOS Pelagic Trip 1
DESCRIPTION:Our first GOS pelagic trip. \nThe purpose will be to travel a few miles out of Swansea off the south Gower coast in order to see if a bit of chumming (putting out some smelly fish-based oily bait) can result in some shearwaters and petrels that are not commonly seen in our recording area being attracted in. We have chartered a boat that is normally used for recreational fishing. \nPlease express an interest to Jeremy early\, as the boat will be restricted to 10-12 passengers. The cost is likely to be around £45 ppn. This event is open to GOS members only\, given the limited place availability. \nIf it proves successful and well subscribed we will seek to run it in future years. \nDeparture point is the fuelling pontoon at Swansea Marina ///sums.divide.hangs
